Lucknow Branch was notified on 01.08.1980 w.e.f 16.07.1980 which was inaugurated by the President of The Institute Dr V. Rajaraman on 28.3.81 The foundation stone of the building was laid by then President Shri R. Balakrishnan. The branch organised S. Vaidyanath Memorial Lecture on 8.3.1986 which was delivered by Shri N. A. Palkhivala. This lecture was attended by about 2500 people. On 2nd Navratra i.e. on 07.10.1994 the construction of the branch building was started which was completed on 28.05.1995 with the Inauguration of the building by the then President Shri Y. M. Kale. The Branch was adjudged the best Branch of the Central India Regional Council for the years 1991-92 and 1995. The branch was accredited for Coaching Classes for foundation & Intermediate students. 6th & 16th Regional conferences were held at Lucknow in April 1984 and November 1995 respectively. Dr R. M. Lal and Dr I. B. Sinha were members of the Central Council from Lucknow while Shri R. C. Bhargava and Shri S. K. Bhargava have been members of the Central India Regional Council.
